Thrudheim Kindred Founding Day Blót

A small group of oathed members met at Bernhard's home July 17 to celebrate the first aniversary of Thrudheim Kindred. It was time to take stock and make plans for the coming year. A number of items were discussed including Cliff's recent certification by the AVA, a new blót calendar for the kindred, and rune study report by Beth. A number of decisions were made which included deferring incorporation of the kindred to a later date, the creation of three levels of membership, and to have a limited outreach program to maintain a slow but steady growth rate for the kindred.

The blót was chased indoors by Thor who made his pressence felt - the first indoor blót so far. A pot luck feast was held afterwards. Cliff entertained the group with examples of skaldic poetry and encouraged others to try their hand at future gatherings.
