Thrudheim Kindred Winter Nights Blót

The weather was crystal clear with deep blue skies and the fall colors were at their peak as the kindred made their way to Cliff and Elise's home for the Winter Nights blót. We were honored to host several members of Skaldheim Kindred from Nashville again. Some time was spent in the early afternoon putting finishing touches on the site. After all the guests had arrived, the feast commenced consisting of grilled hamburgers, pork sausage, and bratwurst with all the trimmings. As usual, there was so much food that much had to be taken home by the guests.

Near dusk the kindred gathered for the bló near the seiðr rock in the backyard. During the proceedings, Tracy joined the kindred as a probationary member while Steve and Beth had weapon steel blessed. Afterwards, Beth acted as seeress as the group made the journey to Hella's realm. Many weighty questions were asked and answers were given. The whole group worked quite well together and the energy level was very high.

After the spá working, the group chatted for a while, sampled some of Steve's fine mead, cleaned up, said farewells, and headed home.
