Thrudheim Kindred Einherjar Blót

The weather did not look promising as members of the kindred wound their way to Bandy Creek Campground in the Big South Fork area. Skies were gray with the threat of a cold rain. However, Thor was waiting in the wings and the skies cleared by the time the kindred assembled at the shelter. It was crisp with a stiff north wind blowing, but a fire was soon built in the fireplace and spirits lifted. The small group had a great time with the feast in spite of Bernhard's failed biscuit experiment.

The blót was held under open skies with a view of the surrounding forest. Ullr was invoked as a number of the einherjar were remembered. After the blót, a sumbel was held by the fireplace. Toasts, boasts, and hopes for the future were offered by the group before heading home.
