Sunday dawned bright and clear with seasonable temperatures as the kindred gathered at the Himes homestead for Summer Finding. It was a special day in several respects, and many of the folk dressed in traditional style. Clint lead his first blot, and by all accounts, did a smash-up job. After many years, Elise joined the kindred as a full member. In her words, the gods often call to someone quickly, while others must follow a longer path to find their way home. Many tears of joy were shed as Elise swore her oath.
After blot was over, the usual sumptuous feast was held. Several variations of pork, a cheeseburger pie, and numerous side dishes and desserts rounded out the fare. More pleasant conversation followed before the kindred wended their separate ways home looking forward to the coming summer.
