Spring was in full and beautiful bloom on Saturday afternoon as Ed and Barbara opened their home to the Kindred for the 2010 Ostara festivities.

As the guests arrived they, took advantage of the seasonal weather by sitting out in the garden and conversing while a multitude of snacks and beverages were enjoyed. As Skinfaxi rode beyond the horizon and the light faded, the air became chill signaling the kindred to move indoors and prepare for Sumbel.

When the circle was formed, our gracious host began the folkbinding rite by welcoming the Folk to his home and invoking the Norns. The traditional rounds of toasting followed and a powerful energy pemeated the room for the duration until all was said that need be said.

The next day was warm and plesant as the folk returned for Blot. Beth served as Gythia and led us in offering praise and proper sacrifice to Ostara. Beth also provided the Kindred with a basket of delicious rune-inscribed cookies, and a wise lesson to go with them.

When the holy work was finished, the folk laid into another wonderful, pork and potato laden feast, with many other delicious treats in abundance. Conversation, feasting and fellowship went on, until the time again came for the Kindred to part ways again.
